OUR MISSION

We visited a wide range of ‘discount’ theatre booths across London with the aim to source the BEST PRICED Upper Circle seat for The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium, May 2012. At this time the Box Office’s Upper Circle seat were priced between £9-25*. We visted the We Will Rock You ticket booth, situated in the heart of Piccadilly Circus , to check out what ‘discounts’ they were offering along with the quality of their service. For more information on London Theatre Bookings visit their website: www.londontheatrebookings.com

PRICE £34.50 (Quoted face value was “£50ish”
SEAT Upper Circle – but an unspecific location.
PAYMENT/ COLLECTION METHOD I would have to pay cash and I would be given the tickets there at the booth.
SERVICE  The vendor was deliberately vague about the face value (which was incorrect). He was also trying to charge me more than any other booth registered under London Theatre Bookings, with the rest charging a fixed rate. I found this highly suspicious.
STAR PRACTICE The STAR logo was not clearly visible on the booth. Initially I searched the STAR website for a We Will Rock You Booth, only to find that the booth actually operates under London Theatre Bookings, who ARE registered with STAR. However I feel that from visiting the booth it was not clear that it was a branch of a bigger company.

 OUR RATING: 2.5/5

  1. Got tickets to see Kinky Boots from the booth in Piccadilly Circus. Great show but got ripped off on the tickets, would have been over 20% cheaper for the same seats going direct to theatre. Biggest gripe from me is the tickets seller completely lied as to the face value of the tickets we bought, surely this is very wrong?!? Buyers beware……..
